I noticed the Nellis name in the posting and could not help wondering if it could be a long lost relative. My family left the Palatine area of Germany about 1705 and emigrated to the Mohawk Valley in New York State. They settled among the Mohawk people in an area they named Palatine. They were successful as they now number well over 50,000.
